how yo hold pencil

INTRODUCTION:

There’s nothing like good teaching when you start painting: it’s wonderful if someone guide you, answer your questions, let you know what should do.. true methods, or the secret of painting is to experiment with new techniques.

See, I have some fresh observations, and ideas. Each can present you individual challenges. But you know, main thing of painting is ‘’PERSPECTIVE’’. When you see good prospective in your painting it will stimulate your own ideas! But firstly, you need to know how to hold pencil, how to create value etc….

Methodical explanation on handling the pencil – loosening-up exercises, creating values and forms, using fundamental stokes will make you feel good in painting.

HOW TO HANDLE THE PENCIL:

When you start your painting, hold the pencil in t

wo different ways. First you hold a pencil to write a letter under the palm of the hand. Let the little finger guide over the paper. Secondly hold the pencil in the most comfortable manner for you. Loosen up with a series of circles (quickly). Feel the flow and see the magic...

ME: most comfortable manner is amazing... the pencil will tell the tale...

IMPORTANT: DO NOT GRIP THE PENCIL TOO TIGHTLY……

Now about pencil: carbon pencil, ebony, flat sketching, layout, charcoal, china marking are the cool way t o paint.

ME: hexagon-shaped pencil called ‘’ Castell 9000’’ is good among all. Ferdinand Petrie (great painter) used to use ‘’lead’’ pencil. I love to use charcoal. (for dark depth)
